Dreaming...

If we broke everything down that we do daily at DRC, you would see the very essence of our work comes down to one thing - dreams. We support and encourage young people reach beyond their anxiety, sadness, or even apathy to recognize and understand that it is possible to have aspirations because:

1. Their neurodiversity and individuality make them brilliantly unique, not just strange.
2. Even though life is sometimes hard, they are not alone. They are connected to a dynamic and caring community that will always have their back.
3. They are smart.
4. Their ideas are worthy and ever-evolving. 
5. They will screw up, sometimes. Mistakes are inevitable and necessary for growing and learning. 
6. Kindness, curiosity, and creativity are a solid foundation for their dreams. 
7. And when they discover their passion, they are willing to work hard toward the next steps. 

While orchestrating all the above, we also have a few dreams of our own, including:

1. Sustaining our mission
2. Keeping our promises to continue a "pay what you can" model 
3. Paying our staff a living wage
4. Maintaining (and eventually expanding) the Canton facility
5. Purchasing a beautiful "home" for DRC-East
6. Creating a functional, innovative, and welcoming community gathering space within each of our facilities
7. Growing our capacity and reaching every single child in the NoCo who needs us.

1. Contribute to the DRC annual funding appeal
2. Sponsor a DRC member's Annual or Monthly Fee
3. Donate to the Go-Fund-Me created to purchase the DRC-East Facility
4. Join the DRC Board
5. Volunteer to share your knowledge, skills, and talents with DRC student members.
6. Help us write grants or find other income streams.
7. Assist us with building maintenance - exterior paint, regular cleaning, etc. 

Dreaming is powerful; hope is essential, and faith is potent. Nonetheless, it is beneficial to remember that getting the job done - requires the vision and strength of many people, contributing and working hard, together, toward the goal. Thank you for dreaming along with us.
