Happy Kids = Happy Families
Valerie Kirkpatrick
"My child is always thrilled to come home with a story or a piece of knowledge from something that he learned or experience he gained from the day. The knowledge and skills obtained will last a lifetime and their experience there is similar to a family has a big impression on them that they will never forget" Cora Hobbs "DRC is great for children to socialize, learn, & grow together in a natural and safe environment." Susan Foster "DRC has been an amazing learning environment for our six kids who go there. Each child is encouraged to focus on specific goals - including creative art and music, an independent study of trains, and free play. DRC was the best thing that has ever happened. Public school was simply not working for our family." Nicole Lytle "Since starting DRC, my son Kohl has developed a stronger sense of independence because he has been given the time and opportunity to think for himself and to take control of how he lives and learns. He has been able to focus more on what he would like to accomplish in his future without the stressors that public school adds to everyday life. I remember something he said shortly after becoming part of the DRC community…he told me he liked it because everyone there was like him. He doesn't feel judged - that in itself is enough to know we made the right decision to join DRC." Jaedlyn Champion "Silas has been so happy since switching to DRC. His migraines have improved greatly - already, and his temperament has been wonderful! He has woken up every morning excited to go into the program. And on his days off he has been asking when he is going back! I’m very happy to see him excited about the program!" Beckie Hart “My daughter has literally grown so much in the past few weeks due to her attendance in this program. She is so much more confident in her decision to vocalize her interests and has actually been able to narrow down her interests which makes it easier for me to get her into programs that I'm hoping she will thrive in. Her interaction with other peers has proven to improve her confidence in herself and help with a positive outlook towards learning that she had not had previously with me just solely homeschooling. I believe the program to be very beneficial for her and I can't wait to see her progress from the start of this year to the end. I would highly recommend the nontraditional approach to learning, as it gives young growing minds a chance to express themselves freely. I plan on enrolling my younger children once they are of age and I hope more parents follow in the footsteps of this out-of-the-box type of growing and learning as I feel out of what our society is greatly lacking.” Cherish Jay
"I'm really glad we enrolled Vincent in your program and that it has helped him understand who he is and feels comfortable expressing it and sharing it with others. Thank you for offering Vin a safe and comfortable place to be open and free." |

"At Mason’s reiki session yesterday, it was noted how much better he is doing. He was talkative and blocked areas are now open and free! I’m so grateful. He is eager to write now and his ideas are flowing freely!" Salena Minter
"the girls are learning to listen to their spirit and natural curiosities, that's the gift of a lifetime." Ali Coates
"My kids had been feeling the isolation effects of the pandemic, but we weren't ready to send them back to school. Deep Root Center provides them with access to interesting learning activities and ways to engage with other self-directed learners. Our kids have been "virtually" welcomed into the day-to-day opportunities that DRC offers its in-center learners." Seth Coates "DRC has helped me with forging new relationships during the pandemic." Bailey Murray-Vierich "I don't know how I would do any of this without you." Madison Tucker
"Thank you, I appreciate everything you've done for me so so much, I don't know where I'd be right now if it wasn't for Deep Root!" Jake Russell
"I wouldn’t be the person I am now, if it wasn’t for you and the center." Chrissie Anderson "Thank you so much for all of the love and kindness you have shown towards our daughter, Emmy. When I think back to how she was a year ago, to how she is now the change is wonderful. She was very insecure and unhappy. Now, we have our daughter back! And, she is writing stories again and drawing! It is so good that she is being creative. Thank you for all that you do to help her." |
Craig and Amber Adams
"Craig and I can can’t begin to express our thanks and appreciation to the DRC staff. The changes that have come over Avery are remarkable. He has so much more confidence; he looks forward to the learning process DRC offers. I believe Avery struggled with who he was and felt detached from public school. Now he knows there are other ways to learn and it is OK not to be “normal”.
Avery is a bright young man; DRC embraces him for who is and guides him on how to harness his interests (including, but not limited to the music program, which has helped Avery improve greatly in a matter of months).
Avery’s father has been very sick with pancreatic cancer for the past two years; it gives us such relief to know that Avery is going to a place where he can enjoy the process of learning and be around people who feel the same. Our sincerest thanks to the DRC staff,"

"DRC has been a blessing for my son. Since our journey here started in 2015, Jacob has flourished. He went from being an unhappy, depressed teen to a more confident, happy, and independent young adult. I no longer worry on a daily basis, if he is okay. He loves DRC and usually stays until 3:30. When he was in public school, everyday was a fight just to get him out the door!
Thank you, Maria for creating such a wonderful safe space in our community for our children."

"Thank you Maria and staff for the amazing work you do. With our past military years, moving often and not putting down any roots, Takoda needed an opportunity to just find a comfortable space to grow. Since he started going to the Deep Root, Takoda has taken so many giant steps forward, both socially and academically. He realizes that he can take charge of his future, and that there are so many paths to choose. I also love the interaction that happens between the children, the teens and the adults, this is real socializing, not selective socializing. Deep a Root is an amazing place, with so many great opportunities for kids of all ages. It is a place where everyone fits, or maybe better said, a place where there is no need to fit, because we are all individuals."
Salena Minter and Dan Bigelow
"Our daughter has had a wonderful experience at DRC which was complimentary to our home schooling. She was able to go beyond book work and examine her creative side while learning. In addition, she met new people and had social exposure that
enhanced her learning through participation that helped her gain more independence in her self. We highly recommend it for those seeking different in an ordinary and often times failing educational system".
