With our focus on Primitive Skills for the month of November, Glen Butler, a regular Water, Woods, & Wild Wonders volunteer, spent time showing us how to build primitive shelters. Maria's woods are a perfect place to practice.
After spending time in the DRC classroom with Emlyn from Nature Up North to learn how to upload our photos onto the NUN website, the DRC Crew headed over to Indian Creek Nature Center to explore the wetlands and trails.
The DRC crew traveled to Daniel Bombard's land in Norfolk to,learn bushcraft and survival skills. We are grateful to him for teaching us about surviving in the wilderness.
The first wet and wild outdoor excursion. We saw lots of frogs!
